Too many things happen during the short block leave in NS. Block leave is ending soon.
Let me start…
Monday, yup Monday blues. Had to wake up real early to go boon lay and meet up for an air force tour. Toured 2 camps (hidden in secrecy so I can’t tell you where are they) we were introduced to UAV and air defense of air force. Cool. Considering the free lunch and dinner, the whole day was pretty informative and fulfilling. At the dinner, I was selected to the same table as the Brigadier-general. (one star onli mah) had a hearty talk with him and the others on the table. Air force is definitely a career choice of my mind…
Tuesday, met up with my section mates and we went east coast and played. Work out to be exact. Pool, bowling, soccer, nite cycling, dinner, supper and breakfast.
Exciting! This may be one of the last few times we meet up and gather and enjoy, but I told them, we must make it a point to gather occasionally after NS, even when we are working. I only start to have this feeling of sadness when we are separated, it’s like during bmt, we bonded really good and jus felt a little melancholic. Whiskey 4 section 4!!
Wednesday, reached home lik ard 10 in the morning, from all the cycling, butt pained. Slept a little before haoz, xl and shiwei came for mahjong.
Thursday, coped myself up in house to complete uni application, a few essays to write and mentally taxing. Haiz…
Friday, morning went to CMPB for interview for pilot. That morning was a nervous morning for me. Postings for us after bmtc were out, and we had to log into webby to check. My heart was thumping when the webby was loading, freaking slow, slow until my heartbeat is normal then the page was loaded. Phew, or Fortunately, or My prayers were answered, or My efforts paid off, I am going to OCS. Thanks to all the commanders in whiskey, my platoon mates and everyone who made my Bmt an enjoyable and memorable experience. To srg ariffian, if you are reading, I am not going to pasir laba! Ha ha…
Back to the interview, quite ok lar, except when I told them something, the panel will try to shoot me down, and I guessed I showed them my sincerity and confidence, I have cleared the interview. But to being a pilot, it’s still a long way to go!
Saturday, class lunch, not bad for a number of 9 ha ha… back to the place of Breeks. After that I met up with my brothers, and we went to visit clement. Tomorrow is his 3rd death anniversary, jus wanna say to you, you will always be in our hearts forever.
A zhu chao dinner on my treat + song, and we went home. 3 weeks later we can meet up again, and maybe Manhattan fish market.
Today, packing and sleeping is my main agenda. Tml, I am venturing into an unknown territory, and OCS here I come! I love challenges, to lead, to excel, to overcome!!
To those having common tests tml onwards, Jiayou! Do your best and you may get a treat from me!! Ha ha… opps
Ps: the allowances in ocs is really not high…

I’m back into my reading story books days. Thursday I went to borrow books. I didn’t noe that we can use 11b to borrow books quite cool. Borrowed this book my army buddy intro to me – the rule of four. (veri nice, something better than da vinci code, less religious. On history too…)
a good friend stands in the harm's way for you the second you ask. a great friend does it without being asked at all.
Happy Maldives anniversary. Exactly one year ago on this date, at about 9pm we were gathered at changi airport, waiting to embark on this special journey. A journey that was enjoyable, memorable and leaves a deep impact on my life. just wanna say, thanks for all the people that have made it possible.
It’s open houses hopping tml…

Post POP life is not boring. I have been trying to pack my block leave with activities, making full use of it, cos it’s not like you get a long break that often.
Let me talk abt POP first. It stands for passing out parade, and our reviewing officer is Ms Indranee MP for tanjong pagar grc (nt too sure abt how to spell her name) I just knows she very multi-lingual, even Cantonese she oso noes. Anyway, she’s not the main highlight, the thing is prime minister is in the VIP stands as his son is also POPing. Everyone has to take out the bolt carrier group from their rifle (infer yourselves why we have to do this), but it’s good, make the rifle lighter.
As one of my platoon mates said, once we pop, we dunno when we will meet up again, will the friendships we forged last. Definitely within my section, we are closer, and this block leave, we have set a date to go out and play (cycling lar) very enthusiastic, but as we progress on, those going command schools, units, after ns, university, then work, family (I’m tinkin so far) it’s like, time we can spent together are quite limited, but we must make it a point to meet up (like there’s Maldives outing tml! YEAh… so looking forward to it)
Yesterday went back to sch with xl and Melvin. We went to get our documents certified. One comment by ms aw was, “chao ta chao ta, round round” she was describing us! Met up with a few people, jiali and ruth. Then talked to ms ng, which she in the end helped us sign the documents. And yes mr Kevin sim was saying, we are not allowed to go back again… he’s weird lar ha ha… somehow, I’m starting to miss sch life…
Today I went to post office to settle my applications, and finally I’m done with it. now, I hope for the best, hopefully can get through and go for interview. Met up with some of my platoon mates to play soccer later and it’s quite fun, a lot of funny actions. I love working out and especially it’s a team game.
Keep having this feeling, so many things to do, but so little time.
Anyway, all the best to those who are having GP exams tml! Dun worry too much, it’s just common test and it’s the last day of school TML! Whee…(just dun remind yourselves after hols, it’s common tests again.. ha ha)

Well. Well D Day is over. All the build up and excitement and anxiousness are gone. Now what’s left is a lot of applications.
A little disappointment is what I am feeling now. My A grades are entirely opposite from my prelims grades. SIANZ! And I screwed up my S papers which I think is quite hard to get the scholarship. Maybe they see I like Man U so much that my S papers grades are M and U. (a U is very Ugly in the cert lor shit!) But at least I have 4 As and a B3 in GP for consolation.
I hope for the best to everything and leave it to fate whether I can go Imperial.
Now there’s only 24km route march and POP in my mind. After that hopefully is command schools……..
Thanks for all the encouragements you guys gave.. now I’m passing it back to you all and hope you guys will do well for common tests!! Surely can do well want!
