Somehow, I felt that I am not at my best form, in terms of physically and mentally.
There will be slight headaches when I wake up, but I know that I slept more than 8 hours which is more than enough for a youngster like me! And in the afternoon, will still feel sleepy, where the only activities that I did were watching TV, reading newspaper and mugging. It just feels weird. Something’s getting wrong…
(Especially when As are really looming ahead…)
Just a Chinese phrase to summarize:
祸不单行, 福无双至.Meaning, a lot of bad things happen to you, but lucky thing only occurs once.
(hoping that it better not be true and continue to happen!) *crossing fingers*

Shucks, I spent the whole of yesterday out.
But it was all meaningful work. Morning, I met up with the bros, but too bad sida couldn’t come. We went to visit our dearest brother. It was not a solemn thing, enjoyable trip, we chatted with him quite a while, and that also provided a chance for us to meet together and share with each other what have we done. How are we preparing for our upcoming As. Come to think of it, I really cherished the times we had back then in secondary schools. Haiz, shan’t think too much of these as it will only make me feel emotional again. God bless you there, clement!
After that, we went for a movie, one that I’m attracted to, “flightplan”. It was about something bad that happened in a big plane. And anything that has to do with planes, I’m absolutely very interested. Anyway, the movie build-up was good, but as usual the ending was anti-climax.
I guess the next time we met together will be after As, so wish you all, all the best for As and let’s do well! Play hard after As, my house will be available for overnight stays le… Yeah!
Then I went to school to mug a while, before HALO (horror after lights out) started. Slept the whole way from JP to school, which was still not enough, so when I alighted, I felt grumpy, I guess I always felt like that when I did not have enough sleep. I will take me a short while for the jolly me to come back. So I walked into the school, and I saw Bern at the track, under the hot sun. Chatted with her a while, and found out she’s going for HC open house. Sorry for giving you the I-have-got-something-to-tell-you-but-dunno-what-to-say-look, cause I was still a little “out of sorts”. Ha ha…
A lot of cheeky things happened when I was mugging, shan’t talk about it. then halo started, which was much better than last years one. Great job lar council. Ghosts started appearing in broad daylight, which one shook hands with me?!
Took some pictures in total darkness, and it felt really great to flash people with me dual flashes. You might get blind after a few more times. Ha ha…
It’s in the webby
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=2118693433 go check it out!
I must tell myself strictly no more playing and serious time now. I try to bet with myself, no internet for 2 weeks? How about that? Or tell my mum to take away the RAM? Nah… self-discipline is in me!
Setbacks are part and parcel of life, what matters most is you learn from mistakes and pick yourself up again. Welcome challenges and defeat them! I really don’t know what to say or console, but only to cheer you up! Smiles =)
Later is Man U vs Tottenham! Let’s win in old Trafford (which I managed to locate it in google earth le xianlun!) and I really hope we win (which is easy)! If Park Ji-sung played really well and scored later, I will surely buy his jersey after As!! The other one which I’m considering is Rooney 8, now, I’m slightly towards Park, but his number 13 is a little unlucky? Ha ha… superstitious me! Let’s see who’s better… but Asians support Asians more!! All the way!

School mugging is so productive.
Library is such a conducive place to study and of course your companion must also be a serious mugger.
I went to school library to mug, hoping to arrange for a consultation for GP but apparently her slots are pretty fully booked. And I saw guan, aaron, xianlun mugging, guan was having his consultation with ms aw. So I joined them a while, attempting a comprehension paper. Then they all went down for lunch, so I tagged along, having eaten my brunch at home. Yup there are some new additions to the canteen, some new round tables are place in the extension part and they seemed nice being placed down there. But there’s this smelly smell on the table top. So while they were eating, I continued doing. Yar and we saw Bern, and xianlun’s forever that noisy (opps) ha ha… had a chat with her… she got a B for German la! Hope that my curse of 4Bs doesn’t fall upon you! It seems that all promos results will be known by tomorrow so I wish them all the best here. If you need maths tuition, Jim’s available on weekends next year, while I’m having NS… haha!
So guan left with someone to mug, while aaron had a date, leaving me and xianlun to go mug in the library. I think I’m so productive in the library, completing a comprehension and FM paper 1 in 4 hours. Feeling great, we left for a break. I bought M&Ms to eat but I failed thrice into getting the chocolate into my mouth by throwing it up. My skills are deteriorating. And we went to I&E hub to check something, and saw google earth application. So we found xianlun house, NJC, changi airport and we decided to search for Old Trafford stadium but for about 20min, couldn’t find it… Manchester is just too Big! Left and decided to go home, and xianlun did something illegal in school which I shan’t say here. (ha ha, I got your ba bing)
As we were leaving, I saw ruth and Christine! Yeah, they 2 forever so funny and sometimes incoherent. Ruth was again acting weird and she doesn’t want to tell me something which Christine wanted to say! But it’s great seeing all of them in school and do a little catching up! After the chat, I felt energized cause all the mugging drained my brain… hope to see you people everyday!
sorry jolynn for not hearing u calling me! but i saw u again rite.. haha.. and dot was painting some halo thing, and when she knew i'm going, she was like, yeah!! ha ha... beri farnie... catchin up is so fun, have a tablespoon of ketchup!!
And I slept quite late last night and woke up so early to watch Man You vs Lille. Although we didn’t win, I think we played great. Should have introduced Park long time ago, but giggs is injured so I think Park will get his chance to prove that he’s great! Yeah, Asians! and you should hav seen the scene when park substituted giggs, the fans were giving a standin ovation, and giggs took off his captain band. park composedly received the band and wore it on, assuming the role of the mighty man u team captain!! that's so cool of him and he did really well in that short time of 8 min! i'm really so tempted to buy the man u jersey of J S PARK, number 13!!
Haha… more mugging tomorrow and tomorrow and…

On your planet, you have an animal called a bear. It is a large animal, sometimes larger than you, and it is clever and has ingenuity, and it has a brain as large as yours. But the bears differ from you in one important way. It cannot perform the activity you call imagining. It cannot make mental images of how reality might be. It cannot envision what you call the past and what you call the future. This special ability of imagination is what has made your species as great as it is. Nothing else. It is not your ape-nature, not your tool-using nature, not language or your violence or your caring for young or your social groupings. It is none of these things, which are all found in other animals. Your greatness lies in imagination.
The ability to imagine is the largest part of what you call intelligence. You think the ability to imagine is merely a useful step on the way to solving a problem or making something happen. But imagining it is what makes it happen.
This is the gift of your species and this is the danger, because you do not choose to control your imaginings. You imagine wonderful things, and you imagine terrible things, and you take no responsibility for the choice. You say you have inside you both the power of good and the power of evil, the angel and the devil, but in truth you have just one thing inside you --- the ability to imagine.
-Extracted from the book “Sphere” by Michael Crichton.
This piece of information is really inspiring. Always be optimistic and do not be limited by barriers! (Sounds familiar right)
Be inspired! Dare to dream and imagine!
人因梦想而伟大!

About 1 year and 10 months ago, 6th Jan 2004 marks the initial formation of class of NJ 04S04. First 3 months of the JC life is the most carefree in the whole JC life. The happy class of sulphate enjoyed totally in orientation games, making fun of our OGLs (Justin, Michelle and YY). When 3 months were almost over, there was a sense of gloom and sadness. The 3 months was the most joyous period I had, playing almost everyday and discovering new scandals. Big 2 dominated the card games, bridge came one and of course the teaching of hearts was running on in the background.
When our O level results were released, almost all girls remained, but the guys section had a major “renovation”. About half the class left, filled up by strangers from other classes and schools. 2nd term of school started promptly with only a day of orientation, which sadly most people ponned. The buildup of the new sulphate spirit was lukewarm at first, initial rate of attraction was slow, with gradient close to zero as the class was sort of divided into the newbie and oldies.
But as time passes on, approaching term 3, things started picking up. The trusty old class of TC26 was sort of the best place in NJ campus. We put in quite a lot of effort into making the College day food fest a success. Everyone played a part in cooking, selling, sneaking into some corner of the TC block and made pancakes, decorating the booth. That episode sort of summarized how the gradient improved a lot.
Start of term 3 was the first common test. After that, the spirit remained unchanged as people start to mug for the promos. As soon as promos were over, PW crept in and all of us were busy preparing our oral presentation and written report (this period of time marks what the J1s are doing now, so I wish them all the best here!)
When PW was over, everyone just left, enjoying their well-deserved holidays, but there was no activity planned. No chalet, no BBQ, no meeting-ups.
Year 2005 gloomed in due to the aftermath of the Dec26 Tsunami. But apparently that incident didn’t dampen our spirits. I don’t know why suddenly, the spirit of the sulphates started picking up, and fast. I guess into term 2 of school, people start to pass on their leadership duties to their juniors, and time was there for us to gather as a class. Class outings were organized, PE lessons were greatly enjoyed. We just spent time together mugging and playing. When we start to realize time of being as a class is slowly getting lesser, the spirit just improved inversely proportional. Major highlight was the sentosa outing, almost all turned up, and you could see the happy faces and euphoria that prelims were over. Sun burnt marks on our skins are part of the wonderful memories we had for this totally cool class!
Now as we count down to the start of “A”, as we count down to the start of 2006, as we counts down to the farewell assembly tomorrow, a melancholic feeling surged up my heart. Although we will have different paths in our life after on, we must meet up regularly and relieve the Sulphate spirit! Till that, I wish all Sulpahtes all the best for our As, and hopefully a chalet coming on!
There are just too many things to write, for the class has spent numerous good times together, which I can’t write all down. Let all these amazing memories be part of you, part of the better person you will be when you leave NJC…
Don’t cry tomorrow my friends! Sulphates ROX! (repeat after me)

It was a fun-filled day yesterday!
In the morning, NJ had its open day. Actually I was quite sad about the number of people attending it cause it seemed to be not very packed. First thing that I saw in school was Christine. She was sun-burnt under the sun, and her hair looks a little weird, a little like lion’s hair. Then I went to the swimming booth, and as usual everyone slacking. Ha ha… no business theses days. I went up to canteen and saw the fried ice cream stall. Oh man… it reminds me of the times that we were selling it, and jiali was there manning it. bought 2 from her. But she looked a little stressed. Cheers kay!
Oso met xianlun and Melvin, the 2 guys who will be going into army the same day as me but I’m 1hr 15min earlier than them. Ha ha…
Oh yes, also saw Bernie and her sister. Made some observation, they look the same, but apparently her younger sister a little taller than her. Opps! (don’t worry too much about height) and Bernie always acting as though she’s not wearing shorts or just that her shirt too big. Then I suddenly have this thought, isn’t it great to be going to the same school with your sibling together? When I was in RV, i was in sec 4 when my sister entered rv, so we only got to be together for 1 year. (and my father fetches us to school saving on fuel) hope your sister can come to NJ too! All the best for her Os!
After that, a little sian le… and Melvin was complaining there’s nothing much to do. Got free packet drinks, and we roamed about. Saw some performances, walked around and we ended up in the library, discussing on the new curriculum. What’s all the hell about H1, H2, H3… so confusing, but Melvin was scared what if interview, they started asking about changes in education system. And ms ng was there to explain to us, but we were still confused. Ha ha…. But it seemed the new system is a little easier than ours, learning much lesser things, no mechanics, so Melvin concluded, we were born 2 years earlier le…
After that, I walked out of school, meeting ruth in the ice cream booth selling! And thanks Christine for treating Melvin and I candy floss, but we also dunno why the candy floss is black.
Oh yar, and I saw the mass dance on the track. The councilors were there dancing, but the highlight was not on them, but the 2 lions that were dancing. They were jam cute, and of course they couldn’t execute the hard moves so they did some waving in the air, and when they forget the moves, they blushed but covering their mouths with the paws. Ha ha!!
And I rushed out of school to RV open house. Met shiwei on the bus. I was meeting Kenny and marco joined us later. Once in school, Kenny and I met huang lao shi, mr suria! Had a great time talking to them on the school matters and they wish us lucks for the upcoming As. And I so wish to be a relief teacher cause you earn $65 a day and the meal is very cheap and you slacked most of the time. but I’m going into NS on 5th jan! arrgh… also I will be missing out on the 50th anniversary performances. Shucks!
Saw my sister performing for her choir in one of the performances.
And then song and sk met us in my house for the last gathering before the As. Mahjong was a must, and some card games.
As are really coming and all recreational exercises will be stopping. Tomorrow is the last day. I shall be transforming into a professional examination-taker. *poof*

There’s just too many things happening today!
Let me slowly analyze what happened cause I’m still a little in a dazed!
First thing in the morning, I went to school for GP extra lessons. Went a little early hoping to find teacher for consultation but she not available. So I slacked out in canteen, and saw jiali. She was as usual laughing around, fretting over this and that, and telling me something new. (something to do with sweet stuff) then ruth came along!! Met many more Maldives people, mainly Ips cause they just had their tests! Tin tin, Dot, Michael… and ya ruth just had her pe, something which I have been missing for quite a long time le… anyway, it’s so great talking to them and do some catching up. Ruth doesn’t look stressful from her PW which is a good sign. Just something to tell you all, dun worry too much about your promos results! At least you 2 did well for econs mcq rite..!!! I’m sure S papers are within grasp.
Then GP lessons started, which was as usual boring, same things repeated. Haiz.. so sianz
After gp, I went to town to meet up with song, kenny and marco!! We went to catch a movie and of course do some catching up again! For the first time, song was early and I was late. We watch the movie which all football fanatics will watch --- GOAL! Wao, it’s really a great show, telling you a lot of the culture of football in England!! More importantly, is how they can perfectly piece acted scenes and real scenes from real soccer action in real matches together. Also, the sound system was jam good, make you feel like really in the Newcastle stadium! I tink the feeling of watching football actions in a cinema is jam cool, so hope to do that next time for world cup next year!! And the jokes in the movie are not bad too… some cheeky scenes which I want to point out. So the male lead, munez was being taken his blood pressure by a very good-looking nurse roz. Then he said, “my blood pressure might be a little high!” wa kao… that part so farnie la.. in the end, his blood pressure was normal.
What I learnt from this movie is that you must have determination and perseverance to make your dream come true! It’s not an offence to dream!!
And I must say, the cameo appearance by david beckham, raul and zidane are really calefair!!! So extra la… suddenly you see david pop out and say, nice to meet you, I see you’re good!
Nonetheless, I’m really looking forward to the 2 sequels of this movie!
And yep, I just received the enlistment letter from Mindef. My enlistment date is SO early lar!! 5th of Jan!! that’s like slightly less than 3 more months. And I can’t imagine I have so little time to play and enjoy and meet up with friends and train up… so many things to do in such a short period. I’m going korea for a tour from 16th to 23th dec, then celebrate Christmas, count down to 2006, and then I bidding goodbye to the modern world for some time to tekong. Well… at least xianlun and I are going in on the 5th, a Thursday… ha ha… kind of excited… but sad cause I will miss so many people… nvm, just hope bmt will be over quick, and I regain my freedom!!

Let’s name today be-a-paparazzi day!
Three tremendous shots were taken using a sony ericssion K750i phone equipped with a 2 megapixels camera and silent shutter sound, with zooming capabilities.
The first shot was in school, capturing some action.
The other 2 shots are then more of talking point. So seng, shiwei, haoz, xianlun and I went out after school for lunch. We decided serene’s centre Mac which was a great choice. Ha ha… upon entering the Mac, seng spotted a guy outside sitting down surfing internet via his laptop. He said he seems to be Jack neo. So I went out and walked back in, on my way took great notice of his looks and confirmed it’s really Jack neo. Ha ha… we were wondering why is he not filming movies but slacking there in the mac, koping free internet. Never mind, we had our lunch and jack neo entered the outlet, apparently wanting to enjoy the free aircon so he sat 3 tables away from us. He bought a small drink and fries. And the store manager serving was like grinning from ear to ear, looked so happy. And the junior attendant shouted animatedly, as if attracting his attention, hoping him to offer a role for him in his upcoming film, “Good afternoon Sir! Welcome to MacDonald’s!”
And at that point of time, xian lun was exclaiming in his seats, oh that guy must be darn happy to serve him. Lol… we continued eating, and then a woman in her late-thirties, a little on the plump side, tugging a child in her hand. Xianlun who was facing the enterance, was quick to notice that she is chen liping, even though she was wearing a pair of sunglass. Again, he exclaimed, “hey, Chen Liping leh..!” then about 2 seconds later, we heard jack neo saying, “aye, liping!” ha ha… and we started making fun of ourselves with all the jokes. Aiyoyoyo, went wenhao! Good morning teacher! And all sorts of terms went on that you could link to her… and her child is very cute. Ha ha, and shiwei was saying, can I take a picture with your child?
Today is just a paparazzi day cause we took 2 pictures of them and having to be real discrete.
The voice-over today is heavenly… haha… counting down to the end of official last day of school… but I’ll be missing all of you…

Saturday was really not a very fruitful day. Woke up early in the morning, not having my breakfast, I went to the FIREfly seminar with tammy, sock, mad, sixun and seng. Once we were in the auditorium, they had 5 organizations giving us talk about them one shot and non-stop. The EDB was not bad, then the following ones began to drop in standard but the last one STB perked us up again with that commercial video they shot. It showed some latin woman dancing and she was wearing a spiky bra. Then her partner swooshed her down and the camera focused on her chest and the next scene was Singapore’s very own esplanade. Damn lame but I think it would attract the curiosity of foreigners. And also most probably I’m hungry and cold, I’m quite shutting off halfway through and mad was nodding her head away (sleeping). The place was like 50% NJ people.
And there was one speaker who looked a little like ruifen and another one like fish leong. Mad was saying if the ruifen-lookalike had some white hair, she would look very much like an old granny (which you might infer that if ruifen had some white hair, she would look like one too).
Anyway, after the talk, everyone sort of like rushed out for food and I finally got to eat. Basically, the 5 organizations were good, offering dynamic work place, exciting job prospects and etc. might consider it!
And since I woke up early on sat and I slept late on Friday cause I was watching crazy first love, I’m pretty much dead. Slept all the way till 5pm and did some homework.
Today was fairly ok too…
From hurricanes in America, to flash floods and landslides in china, to typhoons in Taiwan, to earthquakes in south Asia. Are these signs of the end of world, or just a backlash of the cruel things that we have done to our delicate Mother Nature? She has taken her revenge on us, ringing an alarm in our heads telling us it’s enough. Let’s stop pollution before something worse happen. We can blame the terrorists for Bali bombings, but who else can we blame for the destructions by natural disasters?
We are all just in this state of fear.
It’s a work out day tomorrow again… play the games!

Well, you know, a week has just passed so fast. I seemed like not revising enough for my As. It’s is not good ah…
So happy for all the J1s that their promos are over, just wanna tell them results are not everything so don’t worry too much about not doing well. What matters most is that you know you have done your best! I’ll be here wishing all the best for your results and I have this gut feeling that you all will do pretty well. Next up for you all is the PW oral presentation and report ah… ha ha that process is the most “fun” of all!! Jia you!
And next week is the IPs exams le… hope you people will also do well too!
Yep, today went back to school to collect my physics S papers. Surprisingly and anomalously, I topped my class results winning boss by a mere one mark and was awarded Another Distinction. (notice the use of another) my maths s also got distinction la.. haha but what is the use of getting 2 Distinction when my four A lvl sub is 4Bs… haiz… nvm, I really need to buck up more!! If I can do well for my S papers, by right I should be able to do well for A papers right? (it’s a rhetorical question and the answer is obviously YES)
After the collection of phy s results, me send and haoz went to haoz hse and met xianlun, we had this mahjong game. (how to buck up if I keep on playing? Haha) nvm, had a fun time cause it’s a long time I played le, since prelims. And xian lun is the big winner. Shiwei came later and we proceeded to lau pat sat for dinner. We were going to Party world, shenton way to support lao shi. I think she did pretty well and I hope she will enter the finals which is held at genting!
Lala… let’s enjoy life now… the feeling’s still there… yeah

Pretty much enjoy the life now. It’s doing papers, sleeping, eating, slacking, going school for only 3 days a week, and sometimes working out and playing games after school. So today, the sulphate guys played soccer and later some girls joined so we changed to captain’s ball. It’s very fun to play under the hot sun and see people getting more burnt. But fatigue will slowly creep in so, we stopped and had drinks. Well, these are the only few times left that the class can spend times together and meet up, when As arrives, I believe all of us will be on full blast for mugging mode. So we shall make full use of the times and shall set another slacking day. Friday, lao shi will be having a competition for singing, so maybe we can do something before, like “swimming”?
Ha ha, got back my maths s, quite satisfied with it. Hopefully it’s a D on my result slip, and I really can’t bear to see 4Bs on it, really hope my maths can be moderated to A (which is kind of hard)! And I didn’t know “kind of” is colloquial.
And the aftermath of Thursday’s sentosa trip is that many people are peeling. A lot of the guys are peeling especially the back. And it’s pretty scary and yucky to see one flap of dried skin peeled off from the back. I think we can award the sickest back skin peeling to shiwei and second in contend will be haoz. They really need moisturizer to reduce the effect and hope they can shed their skin faster.
Alright, I shall go off and do some papers le…
I’m so glad for you people that promos are Almost over. (the last paper is can don’t study wan rite) don’t worry and fret over the results of the papers. I’m sure you all will do pretty well for them, so now go out and chill and enjoy! And also replenish your long-awaited sleep. Best of lucks!! Cya…

A lot of things happened.
The NTU 168km marathon is over and mr yong has completed it. he sure has displayed great willpower and god-like endurance.
Bali is bombed again!! What the hell!! Can’t the freaking terrorists stop bombing for once, why are there extremists around? Stop be a scoundrel and kill the innocents, be a man and face everyone.
And as I was reading the book “state of fear”, I’m so impressed with all the facts. Do you know that the world is actually colder than some hundred years before, meaning there’s actually no true claim that Global warming is occurring. Yes, some ice shelves are breaking off in the Antarctica, but the depth of ice in the continent is actually increasing, meaning there is more ice!! And it’s jam hard to measure sea levels cause of many factors so the claim of global warming might not be true. (I haben finished reading though, must piah finished it)
Some people just like to keep harping on things… so naggy and boring! It’s too Over le!! Know the limits duh…
Hoping for the best for J1s tomorrow!! Yeah!!

Well today is Children’s Day, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Children’s Day!! Bring out the Children in you!! My gosh! I’m so old le, 6 years neber celebrate children’s day le.. haha
Yep, also went to DSTA open house with xianlun, seng, haoz and sixun. Met boss Melvin and sock there!! At DSO, we met this young-looking guy and he was a researcher on aerofoil. He introduced to us this aerofoil shape with dimples on it like golf balls. He said in his preliminary findings, dimples can actually reduce drag forces. And just by reducing 1% of drag forces, airlines can save more than $1billion dollars just on fuel. Wao, makes me very interested on aerospace engineering, but I so dislike physics SPA skill A!!
And he gave me his namecard, tall us we can contact with him on any enquiries that we have on DSTA scholarships. And he said they are some things which he could not say there so we can contact by e-mail… haha hmmm…. The dark side..
I just saw the channel U news and saw the NTU 168km run marathon. And people, Mr Yong, the canoe teacher, is running now and he was say he’s confident of finishing the whole 168km route!! I’m so impressed by him and u could see all the canoeists supporting him as he runs. (he’s still running now, maybe in the sengkang area le) let’s support him!! ALL the WAY mr yong. And I still saw him in school yesterday as some people were having consultations with him. He’s so good la.. so responsible and strong!! He was saying he’s afraid that he could not feel his body’s reaction after long hours of running, afraid that he got the mind power to continue but his body could not take it. But knowing mr yong, he’s one guy who does not give up! Jiayou!!
Just bought myself a book by Michael Crichton “state of fear” very interesting and it talks about global warming (hopefully it will aid n my gp haha)
Hope that tonite’s match, I’m able to win some money to recover the cost of my book.. haha!!
